Karl Ian Uy Cheng Chua is the Director of the Japanese Studies Program of the Ateneo de Manila University. He attained his Ph.D in Social Sciences from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo. His research interest include Popular Culture, Children’s Literature and History.
